Inspiring Message from CSK to Every Small Business Owner

MS Dhoni was in a business seminar full of entrepreneurs from various business verticals, right from manufacturers, traders, retailers, and service industry professionals.

The speaker asked, "What are your biggest challenges in your business?"

Everyone answered with different problems, but one common problem everyone mentioned was skilled human resources.

True.

But can we change anything about this? This is a given problem.

If someone is skilled, they will go to branded companies or perhaps get recruited by top-tier companies. So naturally, SMB owners are left with average talent.

Is this going to change?

No, but, what is it that we could do here?

Back in cricket, he saw CSK has won their title this time too. Winning becomes a habit for CSK with a team of average players. CSK is similar to SMBs in some way or the other. They don't have any star players, not the big-hitting well-known names like Kohli, Gayle, Suryakumar Yadav, and the likes of them.

But somehow, they create a habit of winning with the minnows.

How?

CSK has created a culture of trust. CSK provides a safe work environment. They don't replace a player based on one match performance; they back them well until they get into their zone.

Take the case of Ajinkya Rahane; his career was almost on the verge of ending. CSK had the confidence and provided him enough chances to get his best out.

Shivam Dube was trolled for his leg movement, but he played to his strength, not his weakness. CSK doesn't have any star bowlers; the leadership, Thala Dhoni, rotated the bowlers very well.

What is the lesson for a small business owner? It's not that we have to hire the best players in our team. Even for average employees, give them a chance, back them up, give them a safe work environment.

Create a culture of confidence; make an average player look like a winner.
Its not only the best thing you do for your organization but also for an individual, the human being.

That’s where you are lifting the cup.

Can you find Ajinkya Rahane and Ambati Rayudu and other average players in your team? Do you see that winning the game is with leadership and management,
